Reforming Examination System
The third component of the SSEIP aims to strengthen the Secondary Education Examination system in Sindh. This includes the development of a uniform examination syllabus and specifications for grades 9-12 by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE). The focus is also on redesigning the examination content to emphasize critical thinking. The project will provide training to 400 subject specialist assessors from BISE in item writing and exam development, as well as training for 85 BISE staff in optical mark recognition (OMR) operations, scanning, and data analysis. The project will provide OMR systems to all BISE in Sindh, including hardware and software, to improve the transparency, accuracy, and efficiency of examination grading.
