A one-day workshop titled "Strengthening of Secondary Examination System in Sindh" was held on July 18, 2023 organized under the auspices of Sindh Secondary Education Improvement Program (SSEIP) with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). SSEIP Project Director Dr. Hamzo Khan Tagar welcomed the participants and presented an overview of the project's four major components, including up-gradation of 160 primary schools, capacity building of 2600 teachers in core subjects, establishment of science labs in 500 schools, and examination reforms transitioning from traditional to digital methods. Dr. Tagar also announced the provision of OMR scanners and capacity building for assessors and technical staff for all seven examination boards in Sindh.

Secretary Boards and Universities, Mr. Muhammad Mureed Rahimoon, delivered a keynote speech during the workshop, emphasizing the challenges faced by the education sector and the need for significant changes to keep pace with the rapidly changing world of education.

The event was attended by 70 participants and featured group work activities. The participants included chairmen of the Boards, the Executive Director of STEDA, officials from the School Education and Literacy Department, as well as representatives from Teachers Training and Assessment Firms such as Maxwell, Indus Resource Centre, Australian Council for Education Reforms, and others.
